Falken Tires’ Justin Hall Takes Second Place In NorCal Rock Racing Series Finale
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – Veteran Team Falken driver Justin Hall pushed hard at the Prairie City SVRA (State Vehicular Recreation Area) outside Sacramento this past weekend to earn second place in the 4500 Class in the NorCal Rock Racing Series Championship.
Hall of Morgan Hill, CA, driving the #13 Suzuki Samurai, which has served him well over the years, was just a few points out of first place and was determined to secure the top spot. Unfortunately, mechanical issues and a collision would not let that happen. Though his Falken Wildpeak M/T01 tires served him well, the accident ultimately damaged both front and rear suspensions. In spite of the damage, he forged ahead and managed to hold on to 2nd place for the series championship.
“Both the truck and I were ready,” noted Hall, “and we had high hopes of finishing first. I’ve finished twice in second place in the series, and so this time, I was intent on winning. We overcame the mechanical issues, but the hit we took just kind of finished me off, and I came home in fourth, which fortunately, earned enough points to keep me in second place for the series championship. I’m disappointed, but happy with what we accomplished this short season. These races are tough, fast and take everything out of you and your ride, but I have a great crew and a great partner in Falken, and we kept it going to the very end.”
“Justin has been a big part of Team Falken for a long time and we’re proud of his accomplishments,” stated Douglas Fletcher, Falken’s Supervisor, Light Truck and Off-Road Events. “I could see how determined he was over the weekend to do well, and he went as hard and as quickly as he could, given the circumstances.
“I have to add that Justin is the perfect representative of Falken and our Wildpeak line of tires because he consistently demonstrates what our tires can do,” Fletcher continued. “The Wildpeak M/T01 is trusted by pros to take on the harshest conditions and they are uncompromising. It’s why we succeed at off-road races, including the NorCal Rock Racing series, which calls itself ‘the most extreme short course racing on the West Coast.’”
